Ode' Osbourne vs Cody Durden Prediction, Odds, Best Bets - UFC Fight Night
Two flyweights with two wins between them in their last ten fights, and a six-inch reach gap that cuts against the recent form. Somebody's skid ends at the APEX on Saturday night.
The Matchup
This is a fight between two men the sport is close to done with, which is usually when flyweights produce something desperate and fun. Cody Durden is the wrestler: 3.82 takedowns per fifteen minutes, an even six-six-six split of knockouts, submissions and decisions across his eighteen wins, and a work rate built on pressure. But his recent record is a collapse in progress: one win in his last five, and three of those losses ended early, submitted by Allan Nascimento, knocked out eleven seconds into the second round by Jose Ochoa, and submitted again by Alessandro Costa in July.
Ode' Osbourne's skid looks similar from a distance, one win in five, until the details separate them. He owns a six-inch reach advantage, 73 inches to 67, the largest on the main card, in a rare southpaw-versus-southpaw pairing, and he is a finisher by trade: ten of his thirteen career wins have come inside the distance, six by knockout.
His last win, over Luis Gurule in April 2025, ended by second-round knockout. His fights are short, averaging just under eight minutes, because somebody's offense usually lands before the judges are needed.
Key Factors
The shared opponent tells the story both ways. Jafel Filho submitted Osbourne in the first round in 2024, and Durden beat that same Filho by decision this past April, which is the strongest evidence for Durden's path: takedowns, top control, and rounds banked on the mat. Osbourne defends 67 percent of takedowns, though, which is a respectable wall, and every minute this fight stays standing is a minute played at Osbourne's range with Osbourne's power.
What finally separates them is how their losses happen. Durden is being finished, repeatedly and faster: his chin and his neck have both failed in the last eighteen months. Osbourne's losses are decisions against ranked-level opposition and one submission to a specialist. In a fight priced as a coin flip, we will take the man with the reach, the finishing record, and the opponent whose recent tape keeps ending early.
Durden is the better wrestler and, lately, the worse survivor. His path needs fifteen minutes of control; Osbourne's needs one clean exchange at range, and the longer arms get to look for it first. At essentially even money, we take the finisher. Our pick: Ode' Osbourne ML (-104).
