Team Yandex vs GamerLegion Prediction, Odds, Best Bets - PARI Universe 2026
Team Yandex have won ten series in a row and beat GamerLegion in the groups. GamerLegion just swept OG, and Yandex keep leaking a game in the playoffs.
The Matchup
Saturday's upper bracket final is the series the group stage pointed at a week ago, replayed with a Grand Final place attached. Team Yandex won Group A at 4-0 and GamerLegion finished second in the same group at 3-1, and the one series GamerLegion lost in that group was the meeting between these two, on October 22, when Yandex beat them in two games. Neither side has lost a series since.
Yandex have won ten series in a row, GamerLegion have won five of their six at this event, and Thursday sent them here by opposite routes. Yandex needed three games to get past PARIVISION, the runners-up from The International, in a semifinal that swung from a 72-minute opener to a 16-minute beating. GamerLegion swept OG in two clean games. The winner goes straight to Sunday's Grand Final.
The loser does not go home, but the price is steep: a second series later on Saturday, against Team Spirit, for the other Grand Final place. It is a best of three, played online, and both teams start the fives they have used all event. Yandex go with watson, CHIRA_JUNIOR, ATF, Saksa and Malady. GamerLegion go with Yuma, RCY, Fayde, Bignum and Speeed.
Key Factors
The shape of Yandex's playoff run is the whole argument. Since the group stage ended, nobody has swept them, and nobody has needed to. Team Liquid took them to a decider, Astra Invicta took them to a decider, and PARIVISION took them to a decider on Thursday, winning the second game by 25 kills to 1 in 16 minutes, one of the hardest single-game beatings any favorite has taken at this event.
Yandex keep winning those series, and ATF showed why in Thursday's decider, finishing at 13 kills, 2 deaths and 7 assists on Timbersaw with 40,000 hero damage. But a team that keeps giving up a game is asking a different question from a team that has to be beaten twice, and GamerLegion only have to answer the first one.
GamerLegion's side of that argument is Thursday itself. They outkilled OG 62 to 22 across a two-game sweep, with Yuma finishing at 17 kills, 3 deaths and 8 assists and Speeed adding 28 assists from the support role, and that followed the pattern they showed against LEGION in the quarterfinal, where RCY totaled 26 kills, 7 deaths and 38 assists and Yuma added 29 kills.
This is not a side sneaking through the bracket. They have taken at least one game in five of their six series at this event, they beat the same OG team that knocked Team Spirit into the lower bracket, and their semifinal was the cleanest series played in the round. If any team left in this bracket is built to take the loose game Yandex keep offering, it is the one playing like this.
The counterpoint is the group meeting. Yandex beat this exact GamerLegion five in two games on October 22, by kill margins of 34 to 14 and 30 to 20, and GamerLegion's only series loss at this event is that one. Yandex have also won the last two premier events of the season, at PGL Wallachia Season 9 and BLAST Slam VIII, and a third straight title is two series away.
If the Yandex of the group stage shows up, the sweeping version, this ends quickly and the handicap never gets warm. The reason we go the other way is that version has not shown up in the playoffs. Three straight Yandex series have needed a decider, and GamerLegion arrive off the best series they have played all event.
Yandex are the better team and should reach the Grand Final, but they have needed a decider in series after series while GamerLegion just played their cleanest Dota of the event against OG. One GamerLegion game is a much smaller ask than a GamerLegion series. Take GamerLegion +1.5 games at +154.
